It is with both great sadness and excitement that we say goodbye to one of our star performers this year in the Al Shaqab-owned ARMOR, who retires to stud duty in France at Haras de Bouquetot. He joins some familiar names from Richard Hannon Racing in Olympic Glory and Toronado to bolster what is already a diverse and attractive stallion line up.
By top quality sire No Nay Never, Armor will be fondly remembered after streaking clear in the Group 3 Molecomb stakes at Glorious Goodwood to win by over three lengths, before then just being denied in further stakes contests such as the Group 1 Prix Morny and Middle Park, as well as the Group 2 Flying Childers where he just went down by a neck.
There is no doubt he is one of the more precocious colts we have had come through our gates for many a year, and we hope he can replicate the success in the breeding shed as fellow Al Shaqab graduate Mehmas
