Castellated
With a few runners up the country yesterday, Richard came home with a nice across the card double. CASTELLATED a daughter of Teofilo got her head in front on the line in a thrilling finish at Bath for Cheveley Park Stud with the odds on shot of Gosdens. She travelled well in running and picked up nicely when asked to keep kicking to the line. ‘She has run a couple of placed efforts so far this year in two very competitive events. She looks to have improved off every start and could be a nice filly next year. She is the half sister to Windshear who has been a stable star for us over the years. The further she goes this filly the better and she should be able to get some black type next year.’
The second winner came from AT THE BEACH at Kempton in the five furlong nursery. ‘He has been a bit disappointing this year and I am glad he could finally get his head in front and win. He is heading to the sales in a weeks’ time and could be a horse to progress at three. He seems to have finally got the hang of things.’
