Nugget winning at Newmarket
We followed up on Thursdays double with another cracking double this time at Newmarket's July course.
First up was the very game TOP CLASS ANGEL. Having run consistenly well on all her four starts to date, improving with each run, it was brilliant to see her get her head in front. She raced handily under Andrea Atzeni and hit the front two furlongs out. She was hard pressed inside the final furlong but she was very game and stuck to the task really well to win by a neck for her owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum.
In the next race NUGGET struck under Ryan Moore for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing. He travelled well into the race and made good headway two furlongs out to lead with a furlong to go. He was always doing just enough in front and won by three quarters of a length. Having had two solid runs as a two year old last year he has matured into a lovely three year old and hasn't been out of the first two in all four starts this season.
