QATAR GOODWOOD FESTIVAL – WEDNESDAY
5:55pm
Mr Tyrrell (Ryan Moore)
He stays a mile but has no problems with seven furlongs and handles his racing well. Things didn’t go right for him at Leicester last time when he badly stumbled which put him right out of the race so I’m happy to draw a line through it and move on. He’s extremely consistent but as a consequence of that, he is very much in the handicapper’s grip so, arguably, has to produce a career best. That said, Ryan Moore is worth 10lbs and he’ll make plenty of use of him over this trip. His work has been fine and he’s in good form at home so hopefully he can go well at decent odds.
Dirty Rascal (Tom Marquand)
He’s a tough versatile colt who is very consistent and this looks the perfect race for him off his current mark. I thought he ran a sound race at Newmarket last time on ground which would have been plenty quick enough so any rain that falls will definitely be in his favour, and he handles the course as his second in a Maiden at this meeting last year will testify. I expect him to go very close.
As you can see we’re pretty quiet on Wednesday but will get much busier later in the week with the likes of Walkinthesand (Unibet Handicap) Threat (Richmond) running on Thursday and a smart filly of Al Shaqab’s running in the Maiden.
Don't forget to check out @unibetracing for the rest of my runners this week!
