Considering it was Nosey Barker’s first run over 1m 4f on Saturday, he ran a nice race leading 2 furlongs out until not quite getting home on the surface. Gary Mahon said after the race “The cheek pieces helped him travel better, but it was 2f too far for him”
Walaaa was only beaten 4 ½ lengths at Chelmsford on Thursday. The 7f might have just got the better of her, Gary agreed she would be better over 6f as she's so quick out the gates.
Feedback from the Hannon team on Kempton was that Boycie ran a pleasing race in what was a very competitive handicap. Scottish Command finished well after dropping out the back and getting too far behind. Howardian Hills ran a nice introductory race and will improve for the run. Adventure Zone ran well enough and will run in another Maiden, where he will then be handicapped and hopefully win a race.
With a penalty it was always going to be a harder race for Silver Quay at Lingfield, but he ran his usual game and finished a respectful third. Hopes are high though that he will win again.
