It is extraordinary that there will be no horse racing in Britain for the next couple of months – these really are unprecedented times! Our last winner until racing resumes was courtesy of Middleham Parks lovely gelding Magical Wish. He won on his seasonal debut at Lingfield last week in a class 2 handicap under the in-form Tom Marquand.
Due to the Coronavirus for precautionary reasons (under Government advice) we have sadly had to cancel visits from groups of owners, and we have also installed hand sanitisers at various points around the yards and buildings.
On the equine side business is carrying on pretty much as usual – The horses are still going out every day and we are continuing to prep them for the start of the flat season, whenever that may be. Our staff remain fit and healthy and are continuing with the day to day routine. Our two-year olds have begun working on the grass gallop and will at least have plenty of time to complete their education before they run.
