Richard has reached the top of the table after day two of the Glorious Goodwood meeting. Thanks to the help of WATAN on day one and MEDAHIM under the same ownership bringing home the goods on day two. The Al Shaqab owned colt has been unlucky on a few occasions at Goodwood in the past but there was no hard luck story last night as he came with a blinding run down the outside. Ryan Moore timed his run perfectly and hit the line strong. ‘I have always loved this horse and he deserves a big one. Thankfully it happened this week whilst Sheikh Joaan is here. This is a great week for the team and we all love coming down. He is a horse that can build on this and hopefully win a few big handicaps towards he end of the year.’
A double was had yesterday when BLANCHEFLEUR just got up on the line in the Apprentice race at Sandown and owner Malcolm Ablett was on course to watch. ‘She has been unlucky on a few occasions and deserves to get her head in front. Thore gave her a nice ride and looks a jockey on the improve.’
Today’s action comes from Goodwood and Ffos Las. BILLESDON BROOK in the Nassau and NEVERLAND ROCK in the Richmond are the two key runners on the day.
