With only a small number of runners today at Newmarket, two fillies take their place in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes.
The first of those is ANNA NERIUM off the back of her Dick Poole Group 3 win at Salisbury under the same jockey. Tom Marquand takes the mount having won on her last time at 40/1. Richard has been happy with her progress since then ‘She looks to have improved again from her last start and did a nice bit of work at the beginning of the week. She is a lovely filly and will have no trouble stepping up to seven furlongs. This is a tougher ask but I think she will be right there at the finish.’
BLANCHFLEUR is the other runner and is still only a Maiden. ‘She has run well in some competitive Maidens but this is a big ask. It would be great if she could finish in the first five but it is a huge ask.’
