A big day was had on Sunday when RAYMOND TUSK won impressively in the Gran Premio del Jockey Club Italiano Group 2 under Jamie Spencer for Middleham Park Racing. The son of High Chaparral was having his seventh career start having run well in the St Leger. He was always to the fore and stayed on really well under pressure coming down to the final quarter mile. He was tough in victory holding off all challengers. ‘He has been a great horse for us this year and I feel there is more to come next year with him. He got too far back at Doncaster but managed to be ridden handier today. The plan will be to give him a break now before heading for another campaign next year.’
