Morcar (James Doyle)
He’s always shown a decent level of form and has won off a higher mark. He’s had a wind op over the winter which will help, and I’ve been very happy with his work over the last couple of weeks. The track, trip and ground will suit, and I fancy him to go close.

Great Bedwyn (Pat Dobbs)
He’s a real nice horse who had a few little problems after winning at Goodwood last June, but he’s come back in great shape and looks good in his coat. A mile and a half should suit him well and I don’t think we’ve seen the best of him.
Graham (Hollie Doyle)
He needed his first run at Newbury, over a mile and a quarter, but will be much happier stepping back up in trip and Good to Soft will be ideal. He’s off a career high mark but is in good form at home so has a solid each way shout.

Xanthe (Pat Dobbs)
She’s by first season sire, Earthlight, with quite a speedy pedigree and has been going nicely at home. Like a lot of ours, she’ll come on for the run, but she’s ready to go and this is a good place to start.

The Ferret (Joe Leavy)
He had a couple of runs over the winter, but we’ve given him a nice break to freshen him up and he could improve for the step up in trip. Joe takes a valuable 5lbs off his back so he’s quite well treated and should go well.

The trip is a slight question mark, but I think it’s worth a crack, and while she’s not the most consistent, she’s got some good form to her name so isn’t out of it by any means.

Witch Hunter (Sean Levey)
He’s improved a lot for his Sandown run and comes into this with plenty in his favour. It’s a small field so hopefully there will be plenty of speed on, because he needs a good pace to run at, but he’s top rated, so is entitled to be bang there – I can’t see any reason why he won’t.

Aramram (Sam Hitchcott)
He’s had wind surgery since his debut at Ascot last season, so hopefully that will help, and this looks a good place to kick off his year. He’ll be a more effective betting proposition once handicapped.
