A Solid weekend was had by the yard culminating with a strong win for TOMILY at Doncaster under a well timed ride from Hollie Doyle. The action at Newbury revolved around the Horris Hill Stakes and TANGLED was the yards sole representative. He was held up at the rear and came with a strong run to get his head in front before getting tired up to the line. ‘He ran an absolute cracker and is a horse that has kept on a very good level all year. He isn’t overly big but is a horse I think we can continue to have fun with next year.’
DANEHILL KODIAC was running off the back of his Maiden Group Victory at Ascot three weeks previously. He was always handy and was right there in the closing stages to hold on for third. ‘He had to carry a penalty and I felt he got stuck in a pocket at a crucial stage in running. He has run a great race and continues to improve. He has a few options now but I am looking forward to next year.’
The day at Newbury started off with a victory in the first for RED STARLIGHT who was always prominent and never looked like getting beat. ‘She loves that ground and has improved plenty for her debut run. She is a nice filly and will make up into a lovely filly next year.’
TOMILY was the second winner on the day and it was great to get him back to winning ways. ‘He is such a legend of a horse and he keeps on running a good race. He loved being ridden cold and I think we will have a lot of fun with him over the winter.’
