A great start to the week was had by the team on Monday with five runners being sent to post and three of them coming back with their heads in front. The other two were only just behind both finishing in the first four. The first of those winners was MOVE OVER who was having his second start in blinkers. He was unlucky not to hold on last time at Ffos Las and came here in good form. Under a fine front running ride from Sean Levey the Middleham Park Racing owned colt made all and never looked like getting caught. ‘That was a lovely ride and the horse seems to be still improving. The form of that race should work out nicely as we liked the horse that finished back in fourth. He is tough and put his experience to good use today.’
The second winner was in the second race at Salisbury again under Sean Levey. The Denford Stud owned BULLINGDON was having just his second start of his career and got his head in front nicely up towards the line beating stable mate MAGNIFCENT into second. ‘He ran very well last time on ground that didn’t suit and won nicely here today. He is a gross horse and so the more runs he gets under his belt the better as he needs both the experience and the run to get fit. I am not sure where we will go from here but there are plenty of options going forward.’
The final winner of the day came at Ripon with PETE SO HIGH bringing up a treble for the yard and a double for Middleham Park Racing. Silvestre rode him with more restraint this time and he settled nicely in behind. He picked up well to the line always holding the eventual second. ‘He is a tough horse who may be better off ridden in behind them. He has won well today and proves he gets this trip and further.’
Today’s runners come from Leicester, Nottingham and Chelmsford. A few chances all day including last start winner JULE IN THE CROWN who will go off favourite.
