It was a quieter weekend for the team, however we had two impressive two year olds to take away from it. KUWAIT CURRENCY and PESTO won over both days by margins four lengths or greater. The first of those came at Lingfield on Saturday night where the son of Kitten's Joy was mightily impressive from the front. Kuwait Currency was sent forward by Tom Marquand and just kept picking up the tempo throughout. ‘He has always been a very nice colt and we never really figured out what happened first time out. He did that very nicely and could be a lovely colt for the future. I will sit down with the owner this week and discuss where we head next.’
The second winner came on Sunday at Leicester for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing. Pesto having run a very good race previously at Sandown put his experience to good use and stretched nicely clear of the field. ‘He is a horse that we thought an awful lot of in the early days. He seems to be filling out and developing into a lovely horse and I am hopeful he can go on from here. He again has plenty of scope and will make up into a lovely three year old.’
Today’s action comes from Windsor and Wolverhampton where we have 7 runnes heading to post
