A race won by horses such as OH THIS IS US in the past proved lucrative yet again for Richard when BEAT LE BON took the honours in fine style. The son of Wootton Basset managed to find a nice position in midfield and travelled well throughout. He waited for the gaps to appear and came home with a strong challenge. ‘I was very hopeful today was going to be the day as everything looked right for him. They went a strong gallop up front and he just waited for his time. He has always been a nice horse but things have never been that straightforward for him. We will see how he is this week before making a plan where to head next.’
Another winner followed yesterday with AMOROUSLY under Rossa Ryan. She was held up towards the rear and made smooth headway in the closing stages to take a commanding lead late on. ‘She deserves to get her head in front and conditions looked ideal yesterday. That should give her some confidence going forward.’
Todays action comes from Brighton, Leicester and Redcar. With six runners heading to post.
