GOODWOOD – FRIDAY

3:00 Golden Mile
Classic (Pat Dobbs)

His best form is on decent ground, and he got bogged down on soft at Sandown last time, but conditions here will be perfect, and the likely fast pace will also help. He’s definitely got the ability to win a race like this and if things pan out, he has every chance.

Talis Evolvere (Sam Hitchcott)
He’s such a consistent horse and has already been a great servant to the whole team. All his wins have been over a mile, and he stayed on nicely (over seven) in the Bunbury Cup last time. Stall 15 looks to be ok and hopefully he can reward each way support.

4:45 Nursery
The Actor (Sean Levey)

He showed up very well until the last furlong at Sandown last time when he seemed to down tools a little bit, so the blinkers are going on and he’s back up a furlong. His work has always been very good, and it will be interesting to see how he fares on Handicap debut.

Cayman Tai (Pat Dobbs)
I think he got a bit lonely out in front at Ffos Las last time and is probably worth more than the winning margin suggests. The trip won’t be an issue and a race/field this size will suit.

5:20 Handicap
Mafnood (Jim Crowley)

He’s generally quite consistent and might’ve finished a bit closer at Ascot last time but didn’t get the best of runs. He’s going up in trip/grade and is capable on his day.
We’ve got a handful of runners elsewhere and I’m quite keen on Elyam in the 6:53 at Newmarket. He ran well on debut at Newbury and is more than capable of making his presence felt.
