Miami Girl with winning connections
The weekend began early with a very impressive performance by Dawn Of Liberation at Goodwood. The son of Churchill swooped late to confirm his wellbeing and potential that we knew was there.
2000 Guineas day proved to be frustrating with Lusail running a very creditable 6th in the big one and looks very much to train on and will be a real contender for a big one at Royal Ascot. Reverend Hubert confirmed he loves a good stamina test, with a well deserved win at Doncaster, there were several other good performances during the day and all of the beaten horses will be hunting them up next time.
1000 Guineas day arrived and despite not having a runner in the big race, we had a successful day with 8 runners finishing in the first 4. It all began with a very impressive performance by Miami Girl at Newmarket. This Cotai Glory filly looks to have a very good future as she scooted clear of a small but competitive field. We followed up with Windseeker at Salisbury, Desert Angel at Newmarket and then with Richard’s 1400th career winner, River Pride at Salisbury to make it a great 4 timer on the day. Rousay and Thunder Max were both placed against very strong opposition.
These three days and the season to date generally, have shown that the horses looked to be in very good fettle and we are looking forward to the upcoming months and beyond, where we will be represented at all of the big meetings.
We have a very exciting crop of 2 year olds to go to war with, along with some very serious older horses, Aristia, Mojo Star, Chindit and Etonian to name but a few, and of course our old stalwart Oh This Is Us.
2022 could be very special – LET’S HOPE SO !!!
