Happy Romance ahead of her departure to Dubai
Declarations are out and we’re happy to confirm that Happy Romance will be running in the Al Quoz Sprint again. The race takes place on Saturday 25th March at Meydan for the Dubai World Cup at 1:15pm UK time.
She came back from her run in Saudi looking really well and enjoyed a two-week stint at home before heading out to Dubai. She landed safely in the early hours of Saturday morning and has been settling in nicely since then. Our Head Lad Hector has flown out as well to look after her during her trip. She has been out for a pick of grass over the weekend and is happy to be back in the sun again.
The Al Quoz Sprint is familiar to this mare already, as she ran an impressive 2nd in this race a year ago. As you would expect from a race on World Cup night, it will be competitive with 16 runners having been declared today, but Happy Romance has headed over in great form, so fingers crossed she runs a big race. Sean Levey will be on board again, with draws being revealed on Wednesday.
We wish the McMurray Family the best of luck for Saturday, who will of course be in attendance at Meydan to cheer her on.
