July Meeting and Other Places

Wed 10 July 2024

THURSDAY
NEWMARKET
3:00
Aramram (Alec Voikhansky)

I don’t think the race was run to suit last time and the ground was plenty quick enough as well, but there’s likely to be lots of pace on here which will give him something to run at, and a stiff six should see him in a better light.
He’s effectively 5lbs lower in the weights taking into account Alec’s claim and he has a very good each way chance at generous odds with Unibet!
ELSEWHERE
We’ve got a few runners elsewhere, including Delicacy in the 5:30 at Doncaster. She’s been knocking at the door in her last few runs and the first-time blinkers should hopefully help get her head in front.
FRIDAY
NEWMARKET
4:10
Our Terms (Danny Tudhope)

He’s a homebred by Wootton Bassett out of Best Terms, who won the Queen Mary and Lowther for us, and I’m looking forward to getting him started. His work has been good, and he’ll definitely be winning races, but this looks a very good Maiden and if he can finish in the places I’ll be delighted.
4:45
Gisburn (William Buick)

With a bit more luck I think he’d have finished closer at Windsor last time because he stayed on really well which suggests the step back up to seven furlongs will suit. He likes soft ground and is down to a career low of 86.
ELSEWHERE
New Charter would appear to be our best chance down at Ascot in the Nursery at 2:50. She’s been very consistent in all four starts, and I’d like to think she’ll take plenty of beating. Mum’s Tipple steps down a grade in the finale at 5:10 and shouldn’t be far away.
Course winner, The Coffee Pod has the services of Tom Marquand in the 4:55 at York and would have an excellent chance on his best form, dropping back in distance.
