Another winner yesterday proved the well- being of the yard in regards to the two year olds at this late time of the year. QAYSAR having run a very good second on his first start at Newmarket didn’t have to improve much to win at Kempton last night. He travelled well and managed to get up close to home with plenty in hand. ‘He is a nice colt for Al Shaqab Racing and he did that nice and easily this evening. He has plenty of scope for next year and I hope we can have some fun with him.’
The day before saw RAJAAM win at the first time of asking at Lingfield under the same jockey Sean Levey. He was slow into stride but ended up travelling in midfield. He got a good split up the inside and pushed through to win nicely. ‘He has been working well at home and impressed me with how he went about his business in the race. I would hope he will come on again and I will probably look to put him away now for the winter.’
The third winner came last week in the shape of DRAKEFELL at Lingfield. He was always on the front end and never looked like getting caught at any stage of the race. ‘This is a family I love being out of Cake and this horse like his brother Tomily has plenty of speed. I will assess what we do with him now but the option is there for the all-weather championships in March.’
No runners today as we begin to quiet down for winter.
