A very successful start to the week for the team as four winners were fired home on Monday evening from both Windsor and Wolverhampton. The initial double started at Windsor opened up by AIM POWER in the Fillies Novice. She was away well from a tricky draw and got into a good position on the front end. When asked to go about her job by Silvestre she did so well and looks to be improving. ‘Her run at Goodwood was more impressive than it looked on paper and she appears to be going the right way. She did that well and will have no trouble stepping up to seven furlongs when the time comes.’
The second winner of the night came with BATHSHEBA BAY taking the mile and a quarter handicap. Tom positioned him just off the leader throughout and he stuck on really well for pressure in the closing stages. ‘I was very happy that he could get his confidence back and he looks to be progressing in the right way. He will have no trouble going in again off that evidence.’
Wolverhampton turned out to be very lucrative as well starting with PENARTH PIER. She was always to the fore and asserted late on in the piece. ‘We have always liked her and she is starting to get the hang of things. She did that well and there should be room for more improvement going forward.’
The final winner came from ITS THE ONLY WAY who was getting his head back in front after a little while. He was sent forward from the outset and never really got challenged under his double penalty. ‘He is a nice colt and has had a good break now having been busy earlier on in the year. He has come back in great order and did that well in the end. I will have to see what options are available to him going forward.’
Today's action comes from Ffos Las and Nottingham. With another day full of chances hopefully this can be as successful.
