A great weekend had by the team up at the Guineas. In the feature race on the Saturday KING OF CHANGE excelled himself and finished a good second under Sean Levey bringing up another great run from a 66/1 shot in two years. ‘He is a lovely colt but we always thought he would be better over further. He stayed a truly run mile today and looks like he will appreciate a mile and a quarter in time. We haven’t made a plan yet but we will look at all our options.’
A winner on both days including a very impressive 2yrs of Cheveley Parks on Sunday. THREAT never looked like getting beat at any stage. He was away well from the stalls and got into a lovey rhythm before extending his advantage up the hill. ‘He is a horse we have always liked and when they win first time for us they are generally pretty good. He is no exception and will be a lovey horse for Ascot. He looks like he will appreciate six furlongs and did that well.’
The other winner on the weekend came in the shape of MOYASSAR who won the six furlong three year Handicap. He was always to the fore and won with a bit in hand. ‘He missed the break last time and got tired late on. He has come on a ton and looks a very nice horse for this year. He should have no trouble stepping up into Listed grade.’
Another couple of great efforts came from ANNA NERIUM who was just denied in the Listed Conqueror Stakes and also WALKINTHE SAND going down second in the Listed Newmarket Stakes.
We have a few runners today from Bath and Windsor. MR TYRRELL takes his chance at Bath where hopefully he can get his head back in front.
