Just a few days to go before Goodwood, Richard has a small team of horses heading to the races tomorrow. The impressive debutant winner in TIGRE DU TERRE takes his chance back at Ascot in the Listed event on the card. ‘He was very impressive at Ascot on debut and showed a lot of professionalism. He has come on a lot for the run and deserves to take his chance up in class. He is a lovely colt who I think will make up into a very good three year old next year.’
MUSTARRID takes his chance in the Handicap at Ascot and looks set to run a good race. ‘He has to reverse the form on the favourite but he won’t mind the ground and is there to run well.’
At Newmarket Richard has four runners including EQTIRAAN in the Handicap. ‘This is a drop back in class for him having won a Listed race last time. He is in great form at home but I wouldn’t want the ground to be too soft for him. He loves genuine good ground. If he runs he should be right there.’
BILLY DYLAN runs in the two year old conditions race at Newmarket. He won impressively last time at Chester. ‘He has come out of that race in great order and should run very well. It’s a small field and looks competitive, but we have always liked him at home.’
