Bosh at Lingfield with Sean Levey and Owners
We enjoyed a very Good Friday last week with three winners across the board and I was particularly pleased with Bosh who showed a great attitude to win the Sprint Handicap at Lingfield. He’s always been a very good horse and did well to score under top weight for the Richard Hannon Racing Syndicate! The Handicapper put him up another 3lbs, but I’d like to think he’ll be capable of picking up another valuable prize. Talis Evolver is in the form of his life and clearly appreciated the drop back down to a mile at Newcastle. He’s now up to 99, so off a career high mark, but is still progressing, and we should have plenty of fun with him this season. God Of Thunder is a reliable yardstick and got the ball rolling in the Apprentice race under Alec Voikhansky who gave him a confident ride and I’m sure he is going to have a very good season.
I am still undecided whether Rosallion will run in a Trial or not, but with the weather as it is at the moment I’d say it’s highly likely he’ll go straight to the 2000 Guineas. He will work at Kempton on Tuesday and can have another away day if we need to because, even if we have a dry week, I can’t see it drying out enough to suit him.
CHELMSFORD

Blue Lemons (Kevin Stott)
He was very good when winning first time out at Leicester, on soft, and then wasn’t beaten far in the Haynes, Hanson and Clark, where he was arguably quite unlucky, before a disappointing effort at Newmarket on extremely testing ground in November. Obviously, he’s not going to encounter those underfoot conditions here, and he’s been working very well on our All-Weather gallop, but this is an extremely competitive race, and he needs to improve to trouble the favourite.

Rebel Empire (Ryan Moore)
He’s run well on both starts to date and this is a step down in grade from Class 4. I don’t think the drop back to five furlongs will bother him and he’ll have a Handicap mark after this anyway.
KEMPTON

Persica (Sean Levey)
He’s a very smart colt who really seemed to improve for the step up to a mile on his final start at Kempton last year, and he’s been extremely eyecatching in his work. The top two in the betting could be quite good but our lad has plenty of ability and looks as good as any horse you’d see in our yard. I’m really looking forward to running him.
