Tajdid under Pat Dobbs
We sent out plenty of runners over the weekend - with the Guineas next weekend it is starting to feel like the turf season is properly underway! It was great to see all our runners put up good performances and we came away with a host of placings and three smart winners.
ANGHAAM was making her seasonal debut for the Shadwell Estate Company. Stepping up in trip to one mile she was given a confident ride under Pat Dobbs. Having set a steady tempo he quickened up and went clear with a furlong to run, winning easily by a length and a quarter at the line. This Frankel filly has matured well from two to three and should continue to improve throughout the year.
We picked up another two year old winner as well backed ARMOR landed the honours at Doncaster for Al Shaqab Racing under Ryan Moore. This sharp No Nay Never colt raced prominently and ran on well inside the final furlong to win comfortably by a length.
TAJDID provided Al Shaqab with another winner over the weekend as he recorded a first career success at Salisbury under Pat Dobbs. This son of Toronado is a big scopey colt and has taken plenty of time to mature but has always shown plenty of promise in his work at home. Having run with promise on his seasonal debut at Lingfield two starts ago, he disappointed last time where he was unsuited by how the race unfolded at Wolverhampton. We gave him a month and stepped him right up in trip to 1m4f and it was great to see him bounce back to win by a couple of lengths.
Congratulations to all connections.
