Winning at Chelmsford
Last week saw WIN WIN POWER have his first run back since being gelded - the operation clearly did the trick as he made all at Chelmsford to win comfortably by two lengths eased down by Thore Hammer Hansen. Despite having shown some promise as a three year old this was his first career win and given that he is an imposing son of Exceed And Excel he will continue to improve with time.
Indeed at Kempton on Wednesday WIN WIN POWER defied his five pound hike in the handicap to score for the second time in a week for owners King Power Racing. Piloted once again by Thore he chased the leader before taking up the running with a furlong to run. He faced a strong challenge throughout the final furlong but battled on tenaciously and showed great attitude to prevail by a head in a photo finish.
This is a quiet time for the yard as a rule but it is great to see the few runners we are sending out putting on such a good show. Let's hope this continues long into the turf season.
